Best IPTV UK: a practical comparison for your household

There is no single best service, only a best fit. We line up published prices, terms, screen limits and rights documentation so you can match an option to your home.

Published-offer snapshot: 14 October 2026. The third-party prices and promotional terms below describe the pages checked on that date. An offer may have ended or changed since then. Follow the provider’s source link for a current quote before comparing or buying.

The short answer

There is no single best IPTV service in the UK, only the best fit for a household. If documented broadcast rights are essential, choose a route that publishes its channel line-up under its own name, such as free-to-view TV, a streaming membership or a pay-TV platform. If you want clearly published prepaid totals, a choice of one to five simultaneous screens and guided setup, we recommend IPTV Services. Our publisher runs it, and it does not publish rights documentation.

This page compares published offers, not test results. We did not subscribe to or measure any service here, and we do not score or rank them.

How we compared

  • Sources: each provider's own offer pages, read on 14 October 2026. Every row links to its source.
  • Currency: prices are shown exactly as published. UK providers publish in pounds; IPTV Services charges in US dollars. We do not convert between them, because the rate and card fees depend on your bank.
  • Billing: we separate full prepaid totals, rolling monthly prices and contract prices, and we label any monthly figure that is only a calculation.
  • Gaps: where a provider does not publish something, such as a stream limit, the table says so rather than guessing.
  • No testing or scores: no hands-on tests, ratings, awards or “number one” claims, for anyone, including our own service.

The comparison

Prices and terms change often, especially introductory offers. Treat the source link as the authority.

Comparing like with like

The table mixes three billing models, so line them up before comparing numbers:

  • Free-to-view routes have no subscription. You pay for the TV or box, and a TV Licence if you watch live TV.
  • Rolling memberships show a monthly price you can stop. Twelve months costs twelve payments, and prices can change during that time.
  • Contracts show a monthly price for a minimum term, often with set-up or equipment charges and scheduled price rises. Add up the whole minimum term.
  • Prepaid IPTV terms are one payment for the whole period. IPTV Services' 2-connection, 12-month plan is USD 130 paid once. That is about USD 10.83 a month as a calculation, but you are not billed monthly.

Then match the number of screens. A single-stream price is not comparable with a price that covers several screens at once. Here is what 12 months costs at the prices published on 14 October 2026, worked out from each provider's own figures:

12 months at today's published prices (a calculation, in each provider's own currency)
OptionScreens at onceCalculation12-month costNote

The currencies differ, so the rows are not directly comparable without your bank's exchange rate and fees. They also differ in what you get: channel line-ups, picture quality, adverts and rights documentation all vary.

Screens and stream limits

For a household, the limit on simultaneous streams matters more than the number of devices you can install an app on. Providers count these differently: some sell extra streams as an add-on, some include a set number, and free-to-view TV depends on each TV having its own aerial feed or internet connection.

IPTV Services sells 1 to 5 connections, and each one is a stream playing at a time. Its full price table shows how the total changes with each extra screen:

IPTV Services: total for the whole term by connections, USD
Connections 1 month3 months6 months12 months24 months
1 USD 20 one month USD 40 ≈ USD 13.33/mo USD 60 ≈ USD 10/mo USD 80 ≈ USD 6.67/mo USD 140 ≈ USD 5.83/mo
2 USD 30 one month USD 65 ≈ USD 21.67/mo USD 95 ≈ USD 15.83/mo USD 130 ≈ USD 10.83/mo USD 230 ≈ USD 9.58/mo
3 USD 40 one month USD 85 ≈ USD 28.33/mo USD 125 ≈ USD 20.83/mo USD 175 ≈ USD 14.58/mo USD 310 ≈ USD 12.92/mo
4 USD 50 one month USD 100 ≈ USD 33.33/mo USD 150 ≈ USD 25/mo USD 215 ≈ USD 17.92/mo USD 380 ≈ USD 15.83/mo
5 USD 60 one month USD 115 ≈ USD 38.33/mo USD 175 ≈ USD 29.17/mo USD 250 ≈ USD 20.83/mo USD 440 ≈ USD 18.33/mo

Every price is the full amount paid upfront for the term, in USD. The “/mo” figure is only that total divided by the months, for comparison; you are not billed monthly. Selecting a price opens the local duration page with that exact screen count. You review the selection there before continuing to checkout.

Who each option suits

These are fits based on published facts, not judgements of quality.

Free-to-air through an aerial (Freeview)
Homes with an aerial in good condition that mainly watch the main UK channels and want no subscription at all. Every TV with its own aerial feed watches independently. Freeview says you get over 100 channels, depending on your address.
Free live TV over broadband (Freely)
Homes without a good aerial but with broadband of 10Mbps or more and a Freely-enabled TV, or willing to buy a Freely streaming device. No subscription or contract.
Streaming membership (NOW)
People who want Sky’s entertainment, film or sports channels without a long contract, watching on one screen at a time, or up to three with Ultra Boost (£9 a month extra). The Saver prices need a minimum term.
Pay-TV with a managed box (Sky Stream, Virgin Media, EE, TalkTalk)
Households that want a supplied box, one bill and the provider’s support, and accept a contract or a broadband tie-in. Sky Stream is £15 a month on 24 months or £18 rolling; Virgin Media and TalkTalk require their own broadband.
Prepaid IPTV in your own player app (IPTV Services, run by our publisher)
Households with app-capable devices comparing full prepaid totals for 1 to 5 simultaneous screens and guided setup. Check programme rights, current availability and app compatibility before subscribing. It is charged in USD and supplies no box.

Limitations and checks

  • Check programme rights and availability before subscribing. This guide has not verified channel-by-channel licensing; catalogue figures and successful playback are not proof of rights.
  • Charged in US dollars. Your bank may convert the amount and add a fee.
  • No managed box: you use your own device and a separate player app.
  • Refund requests: 7 days from purchase for new subscriptions only. Support first, one refund per customer and exclusions apply. Renewals, upgrades, customer internet/ISP or setup problems, occasional buffering and minor downtime are excluded. Approved refunds use the original payment method with 3–5 business days processing.
  • UK regional channels, subtitles and guide data are not confirmed by a current published list. Check them during the trial.
The trial page is a local, unsent WhatsApp/email request composer. The main duration cards open a local subscription review before checkout; labelled price-table fallbacks can link directly to the seller. IPTV Services, operated by our publisher, handles orders, payment, account delivery and support. We have not independently tested performance or counted the catalogue.

What providers do not publish

We checked each source for the facts a household needs. These were missing or unclear on 14 October 2026:

  • Freeview: the exact channel count for your address (it varies by transmitter).
  • Freely: no headline channel count; check the channel list.
  • NOW: no fixed price-rise dates; it says ongoing monthly prices and channels are “subject to change”.
  • Sky: the standard Sky Go stream limit is not stated; the Whole Home price appears as both £13 and £15 a month; Ultimate TV’s rolling price differs between two Sky pages.
  • Virgin Media: how many Virgin TV Go devices can stream at once; the bundle’s broadband tier is described as both M350 and M500; the offer we read was marked as ending 14 October 2026.
  • EE: its TV pages returned an error when we checked, so the equipment, broadband requirement and stream limits are unverified.
  • TalkTalk: stream limits.
  • BT TV: its TV pages showed a maintenance notice on every attempt, so BT is not in this comparison.
  • IPTV Services (owned): channel-level rights documentation and rules on recording, multiview and multiple households. Read the conditional 7-day-from-purchase refund policy for new subscriptions; support first and exclusions apply.

Ask the provider in writing about anything on this list that matters to you before you pay.

TV Licence and rights

Whichever route you choose, GOV.UK says you need a TV Licence to “watch or record live TV on any channel or service” or to use BBC iPlayer. It costs £180 from 1 April 2026. TV Licensing says this applies to live channels “even if these are from outside the UK”.

On rights, the Intellectual Property Office describes illicit streaming as watching content “without the copyright owner's permission by any means”. The other services in this table publish who they are and what they carry. IPTV Services does not publish channel-level rights documentation. If documented rights are essential to you, that difference should decide your choice.

Before you choose

  1. Work through the household checklist: devices, screens, local channels, subtitles and guide times.
  2. Use the route finder to see which types of route fit your answers.
  3. Open each provider's source page and confirm today's price and conditions.
  4. Use a trial or the shortest term first if one is available.
