IPTV household checklist From IPTV UK Guide: https://iptvukguide.com/guides/household-checklist/ Use the route finder with your answers: https://iptvukguide.com/guides/household-checklist/#find-your-route DEVICES [ ] List every device you will watch on: the TV’s brand, model and year (usually under Settings > About), plus any streaming stick, box, phone, tablet or computer. [ ] For each device, check that the player or provider app is in its official app store: Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, the Apple App Store, or the Samsung or LG TV store. [ ] If you use an Amazon Fire TV, note the exact model. Amazon says the Fire TV Stick 4K Select is the first to run its new Vega OS rather than the older Fire OS, which changes which apps can be installed. [ ] Check the broadband connection where the main TV sits: a wired connection, or strong Wi-Fi in that room. SIMULTANEOUS SCREENS [ ] Count the most screens that play at the same moment on a busy evening (for example, the main TV, a bedroom TV and a tablet). [ ] Choose a plan with at least that many connections, and no more than you need. [ ] Confirm the service is for your household only. Most terms, including IPTV Services’ terms, are for personal, non-commercial use and forbid sharing your login with others. CHANNELS AND LOCAL FEEDS [ ] Write down your must-have channels, including your regional BBC One and ITV, STV or UTV news programmes. [ ] During a trial, check each must-have channel plays, shows the right region and has the right programme on at the right time. [ ] For sport, write down the competitions you care about and check whether the provider documents its rights to show them. SUBTITLES AND ACCESSIBILITY [ ] Check that subtitles appear on the channels and films you watch, and that you can turn them on in the player app. [ ] If anyone uses audio description, check whether it is available and how to switch it on. [ ] Check the guide text is readable from the sofa and the app works with your remote, or with a screen reader if you need one. PROGRAMME GUIDE (EPG) AND GMT/BST [ ] Check the programme guide shows UK time (Europe/London) on every device. [ ] The clocks go back to GMT on Sunday 25 October 2026 and forward to BST on Sunday 28 March 2027. After each change, check the guide matches what is actually on. [ ] If times are an hour out, look for the app’s time-zone or guide time-shift setting before contacting support. TERMS AND TOTAL COST [ ] Write down the full total for the term you want, not just a “per month” figure. [ ] Note the currency. If it is not pounds, check your card’s conversion fee. [ ] Find out what happens when the term ends: does it renew automatically, or do you buy again? [ ] Read the refund policy and note the window and conditions. If anything conflicts, ask for the answer in writing. SUPPORT [ ] Note the support routes (email, chat, WhatsApp, phone) and when they are answered. [ ] Ask one setup question before you buy and see how quickly and clearly it is answered. [ ] Check the provider has setup instructions for your devices. TV LICENCE AND RIGHTS [ ] If anyone will watch or record live TV on any channel or service, or use BBC iPlayer, you need a TV Licence (£180 a year from 1 April 2026). [ ] Decide whether documented broadcast rights are essential for you. If they are, ask each provider where its rights are published and keep the answer. Prices, apps and rules change. Check the provider’s current pages and official sources before you pay.
